My Whole Heart: Colt Baker Memorial Scholarship

Colt Evan Baker came into this world on December 2, 2018.  Colt is the heartbeat of the Baker family.  He was gifted with such a fun personality. He may have been young, but he was one of those people you just loved and wanted to be around.

Colt never met a stranger.  He loved talking to every person he came in contact with.  He would tell you so much knowledge in such a short period of time just standing in the Walmart aisle or on the baseball field.  He wanted everyone to know what he knew and Colt knew a lot.  He was very intelligent and absorbed information like a sponge.  This was especially true in things he loved like dinosaurs (but only the carnivores), sharks (especially the Megalodon), and the superhero, Venom.  He would often tell you types of dinosaurs you've never heard of before and when you Googled it, he was always right.

Colt was gifted a toy doctor kit and immediately began taking care of all his dinosaurs.  Each day, he took their temperature, scanned their belly for babies, checked their heart rate, and made sure they were healthy.  He loved for all things to be healthy and happy.

Colt also loved all the villains but he always turned them into good guys and friends.  He had a true talent for acting out and his sound effects were impressive and impeccable.  If you had the pleasure of hearing his dinosaur roar or his gruff Venom voice, you were amazed and entertained.

Colt truly loved life and spending time with his family and friends.  He loved his family unconditionally.  His heart gave each of us a glimmer of the greatness of the love of God.  To love Colt and especially to be loved by Colt is the closest earthly experience we have received to feeling the true love of God.  He is a blessing we can never repay but we will each do our part to try and love like Colt.
