Miles Rand Memorial Fund
Miles was a graduate of Clyde High School who went on to attend Texas Tech University, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Geosciences and Master of Science in Geophysics.
He built his career as a geophysicist, ultimately serving as a Senior Geophysicist. He worked for Clearfork Operating in Abilene, Texas, and Crownquest Operating in Midland, Texas.
Miles' Legacy
Known for being quiet, driven, and deeply generous, Miles gave to others without ever seeking recognition.
He impacted many lives in meaningful ways, often behind the scenes.
Miles passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 31.
This scholarship carries forward that spirit.
This scholarship fund has been created to carry that spirit forward, benefiting students across West Texas pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medical fields.
Eligibility
- A graduate of Clyde High School or Eula High School preferred.
- Attending an accredited vocational or trade school, junior college, or four-year university.
- Pursuing a career in geosciences, medicine, or a related STEM discipline.
