During the 2025-26 Future Fund grant cycle, $45,000 was awarded to 30 nonprofits serving kids in the Abilene community, with an additional $4,500 in funding support coming from donor-advised funds from the Community Foundation of Abilene and other community contributions.
Future Fund members make this happen. Membership dues are pooled into the endowment fund, and the fund's revenue is used each year to make grants to nonprofits serving local children and youth.

Note: In this calendar year, Future Fund held two grant cycles. In 2026 and beyond, the Future Fund grants will be awarded during the cycle, which opens September 15 to November 1.
