Zach Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Zach Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his family to honor the memory of Zach Moore, a Panther Creek student who died in June 1992 due to an accident at a railroad crossing in Coleman, Texas. Zach Moore was a musician. Motivated by the support of his parents, Wayne and Terri Moore, Zach began to play drums at the early age of two and learned the fiddle at thirteen. Zach’s mother recalls, “Zach’s friends were of all ages; he loved music and the outdoors. He believed in people and in himself. His smile came from within, which is what made it so beautiful. If time were measured in quality, number of lives touched or joy spread, Zach would have been a very old man when he was taken from us.” His memory will live on through the Zach Moore Memorial Scholarship.
