January 03, 2022

What a year! There's a lot we could say about the good things we experienced in 2021. Here are 6 quick highlights from what was a truly special year.

Thank you to everyone who made these milestones happen.

  • Awarded a record $13.4M in grants from all fund types
  • Community raised nearly $2M during Abilene Gives
  • Granted $507K to small businesses for COVID-19 relief
  • Granted $219K for February winter storm relief
  • Added 20+ new funds
  • Grew assets to more than $190M

Want to be part of the impact in 2022? Here are 5 ideas!

  1. Become a Friend of the Community Foundation of Abilene - $200/year for an individual or couple. Membership supports CFA operations and special initiatives.
  2. Become a Future Fund member - $250/year for an individual or couple. Membership supports the Future Fund endowment, which makes grants to nonprofits serving children and youth.
  3. Donate to a fund or nonprofit - You can donate to a variety of existing CFA funds at this link. You can also support nonprofit grant applicants via our online grant catalog during our grant cycles.
  4. Sponsor Abilene Gives - This 24-hour day of giving to support local nonprofits will be May 3 this year. If you're interested in learning about sponsorship opportunities, contact Jasmine McCabe-Gossett at jasminemg@cfabilene.org or 325-676-3883.
