Congratulations to the 2023 scholarship recipients

(June 28, 2023) — The Community Foundation of Abilene, through the generosity of donors who established the funds, has presented scholarship awards to 223 students. This year a record amount has been awarded – $983,750 in college scholarships.
Scholarships support students pursuing careers in fields like geology, journalism, nursing, and many other areas. Scholarships can also help students obtain certifications in trades such as welding and mechanics.
Scholarship funds are established in partnership with our generous donors. Donors work with the Foundation to set the criteria for their fund, such as designating the award for students from specific schools or for students studying in a particular field. The Foundation manages more than 120 scholarship funds that support deserving students in our local community.
