Community Foundation of Abilene : Give : Womens' Giving Circle
The Women's Giving Circle offers a unique opportunity for the women in Abilene to learn about the philanthropic needs of the community. By joining the Circle, women are able to pool their resources to make a greater impact in the community.
The Women's Giving Circle gives one grant annually to a local nonprofit after Circle members research local needs and vote for their preferences. The Circle awarded their first grant on April 2, 2007 to Abilene Child Centered Support Services (ACCESS) to fund their summer reading camps.
Membership in the Circle is open to anyone woman who commits to donate $1,500 per year for two years to the collective fund. $1,000 of your gift will go directly to grantmaking; $400 will be placed in an endowed fund to aid with future grantmaking; and the remaining $100 underwrites the administrative costs of the Circle.
